I love helping students make approaching exams feel less overwhelming. I focus on breaking down vast amounts of content into manageable lessons while sharing the specific exam techniques and tips I picked up along the way. For me, mentoring isn’t just about teaching content; I really value building rapport and guiding my students through the lesson to ensure they have high levels of understanding on the content. My aim is to create a space where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, as I believe that is how real understanding happens.
In my free time, I’m usually out on long walks or hikes, spending time with friends, or baking sweet treats!

I find mentoring extremely fulfilling because I get to watch students improve along their unique journeys. I love building “bridges to excellence” by using adaptable, fun techniques and fostering a collaborative environment. My goal is to break down intimidating tasks, like interview preparation, into something manageable and even enjoyable, just as it was for me.
Outside of academics, I love bringing people together by organising events for various society committees. I also enjoy writing and dancing (and, like everyone else, the occasional doomscroll!).

Outside of university, I play many sports, including competing internationally as part of a synchronised ice skating team. I also enjoy playing the violin and swimming which help me relax outside of studies.

I enjoy teaching and have been mentoring students for the better part of three years. My main approach is to connect with students on a more personal level so they feel comfortable, supported, and able to ask questions without pressure. I aim to be approachable and understanding of each student’s individual situation, which I have found makes a real difference to their confidence and progress.
Outside of medicine, I love travelling and trying new things. I am always open to “detours,” and these experiences help me bring fresh energy and a broader perspective into my lessons.

Hi, I’m Antonia! I love mentoring because seeing students’ progress and excitement when they grasp a concept is incredibly fulfilling. I’ve been in the tutoring game for a few years, including experience with Kumon, so I know how to make learning enjoyable and effective.
Outside of academics, I’m tackling different “side quests” of my own, currently training for a half marathon, so please wish me luck!

I love mentoring because it lets me build connections with students while helping them gain confidence in their abilities. When I’m not studying or preparing for internships, I enjoy taking on the role of “Arham’s best employee” and striving for that employee-of-the-month title.
Outside academics, I balance intellectual challenges with physical ones, and I’m currently training for my uni’s Fight Night 2025, so be ready to hold up my sign!

Abdur Raheem
Mathematics at QMUL

• A* in Electronics
• A in Physics
• GCSEs: 7 x Grade 9, 3 x Grade 8

There’s nothing quite like the moment a concept “clicks” for someone. Watching confusion turn into confidence is greatly satisfying for me, and I find the process of explaining challenging concepts truly enthralling.
Besides my studies, I take part in various sports activities, though most of my time is taken up watching a very (unhealthy!) amount of Liverpool FC games on the weekends.

Hasnain
Accounting and Finance at Durham University
Academic Highlights:
• Business: A*A
• Information Technology: A
• Specialism: Business
Mentoring students for me is all about making the subject feel less intimidating. Business can seem like a lot of theory thrown at you at once, but once you understand the logic behind it, everything starts to connect. I love being the person that helps make that click happen, using my experience from various societies and my professional development to provide real-world context.
Outside of uni, I stay active through martial arts, football, and cricket, and I particularly enjoy the challenge of hiking up mountains.
